The Carvings

The carvings for Opus 2 series are being done for me by an esteemed former colleague from the now-closed Brombaugh shop. David Campbell is a talented artisan with a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Oregon. He made over 10,000 metal pipes and many carvings for the Brombaugh shop during his 20-plus years there and is now working independently.

He worked with Yokota Munetaka on the beautiful instrument made for the Göteborg project in Sweden. Upon his retun to the Brombaugh shop in 2001, he showed me how to improve my metal pipe making as well as forge my own tools. He has been a wonderful teacher.
