...found his calling... David Petty generously brought Opus 1 to our church so the Organ Committee could hear, see, and experience an organ in our chapel space. Before a sound was produced our committee recognized the instrument as a work of art. The beautiful and various woods are artfully combined. I recently had the pleasure.... I have known David for several years and consider him bright, passionate and intense in all he does. I recently had the pleasure of an evening to play his Opus 1 pipe organ and found it delightful, balanced, sensitive, flexible, articulate, colorful and nuanced. I could imagine spending many pleasureable hours hearing and playing this instrument in a variety of ensemble and solo situations.
